From the Utah Climate and Clean Air Compact:
We were so pleased that Pulitzer-prize winning journalist Thomas Friedman joined us to provide wonderful and rousing remarks on the pandemic and our opportunity to lead a response on climate, clean air, and energy. We must note that Mr. Friedman was clearly impressed with Utah’s leadership on climate and clean air! As he said during his remarks, “There’s a vice presidential debate happening in Salt Lake City today — that’s a pretty big thing. But you know what I think? I think it’s the second most important thing happening in Salt Lake City today. I think your compact is really the most important thing. It’s something that’s going to last.”
