With the acquisition of Omniture, Adobe Systems Inc., faces the challenge and opportunity of creating a large Utah campus that provides flexible, cost effective office space. This campus promotes the recruitment and retention of top talent and integrates the differing cultures of the parent and acquired company. Gardner is currently providing development services for Adobe. Services include coordinating the efforts of real estate brokers, directing local and national members of the design team, and effectively navigating the complex corporate structure of Adobe. Our ability to understand the vision of Adobe is leadership combined with our expertise in developing in the local market will make this a signature project for the state and for Adobe.


Tesla, the nation’s #1 solar power provider, needed a new corporate office. The company is leading the adoption of mainstream solar in communities across the country while simultaneously creating jobs that contribute to a clean energy economy. This new building reflects their work towards a greener earth.


Overstock.com selected Gardner to help them create this round iconic building. This new campus promotes the recruitment and retention of top talent and integrates the differing cultures of Overstock.com. In addition to the central office building, the campus includes an amenities building, park-like open green space, and a parking structure. It hosts several on-site amenities such as a cafe, fitness center, health clinic, and day care. Overstock is also considering an on-campus greenhouse to provide fresh, organic produce to be served at the cafe.

The Story

The Gardner Company is a full service real estate company specializing in the development of office, retail, industrial and medical buildings. The company was founded by Kem C. Gardner who serves as CEO. Gardner has been a prominent fixture in the Utah business community for over 38 years and has one of the largest real estate portfolio’s in the region. The philosophy of Gardner Company is to build great relationships. We achieve this by partnering with people and companies with the highest of standards to benefit our clients, our communities, and the environment.


One of the objectives of Gardner Company is to design and construct buildings that minimize the impact on the environment, improve the surroundings and enhance the workplace experience for our tenants. We are dedicated to construction buildings that are LEED certified, implement state of the art technology in energy efficiency, and are cost effective. Our goals is to use the latest technology in construction and materials so that the buildings we build reduce our carbon footprint, are environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing.

Our founder has served for many years as the Chairman of the Board of Intermountain Health Care, as well as other voluntary leadership positions in such organizations as United Way, Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, and other groups.
